6.22.12 Update from Juliana Vieira

Dear Friends

It is with great pleasure that I write you my first report about all the
goals and conquests we already have had. This year, we opened a new
class for the children in the afternoon. And during mornings and
afternoons, the children have classes three times per week.
Through this time, I have been participating more with them without
being worried about my financial situation and my Waldorf Education
course for teachers at Maynumbi.
In the first lecture, Renate Kelly Ignacio who is co-founder and
coordinator of Monte Azul Association, talked about how to deal with
children on many different situations while we play at the class. It
was wonderful to attend her lecture and I think the educators should
do this course, because it’s useful and rich of information.
As for the children in the project, they have been developing with a big
success through simply activities like watercolour and hand crafts.  Every
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday we are doing arts, hand crafts and
botanic activities.

Great news is that we got an Eurythmy teacher, Oliver Tump, he comes once a week.

I would like to thank you for all the support to the children and trust in my work.
